As a humble messenger, I pen this article not by my will, but by the divine will of God. The pattern of hatred and evil that threatens to destroy our world cannot be stopped by my words, no matter how poetic or passionate I am.
Every day, mankind continues to defy the clear commands and principles of the Most High, polluting the earth with violence, corruption, and immorality. This is not the world that our Creator desired when he formed it from the beginning, approximately 6,000 years ago (Genesis 1:1-31).
We are constantly confronted with senseless acts of violence, discrimination, and xenophobia. People are targeted and persecuted because of their skin color, nationality, or simply because they are foreigners. This is very different from what our Creator wants us to do: treat foreigners with kindness, compassion, and respect.
No individual or nation can truly claim ownership of the earth, as we are all descendants of migrants who settled in their current locations. The Scriptures remind us that our God’s design is one of inclusivity and compassion, where “the stranger who resides with you shall be to you as one of your citizens; you shall love him as yourself” (Leviticus 19:34). Despite this clear directive, many continue to disregard God’s word, succumbing to fear, ignorance, and prejudice.
I have always maintained that no world leader was chosen by God, but by Satan. If you notice, not one world leader has ever clamoured for peace between all races. Instead of creating a sense of shared humanity, these leaders continue to sow seeds of discord that fuel xenophobia, racism, and nationalism.
They use our differences to create an “us versus them” mentality that pits neighbour against neighbour and nation against country. The Bible warns us about the destructive effects of such leadership, pointing out that “leaders without understanding are a terror to their people” (Proverbs 28:16).
As a believer, I’ve engaged many Christians in discussions about this topic, posing a straightforward yet profound question: “How can you claim to follow Christ when your actions don’t align with his teachings?” Jesus’ message was unequivocal: love your Creator and love one another (Mark 12:30-31).
Many Christians, however, seem to ignore the suffering and injustices around them, often deciding to support or perpetuate evil instead. The disconnect between the values Jesus taught and the actions of many who claim to follow him has led me to question the institutionalized Christian faith.
When Yahusha (Jesus) walked among humanity, He didn’t discriminate based on race, social status, or creed. Instead, He befriended the outcasts, the marginalized, and the oppressed. His humility and compassion knew no bounds, as he associated with those deemed “unworthy” by societal standards.
Yahusha’s focus was not on gaining the world’s approval or conforming to the governing powers of His time. His heart’s desire was to fulfil the will of his Creator. He steadfastly followed the divine commandments, rather than the traditions and laws of men (Matthew 15:3-9, Mark 7:6-13). By obeying his father’s will, Yahusha showed a love that went beyond human limits and expectations.
It is evident that Satan has considerable influence over this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4, 1 John 5:19). The current state of the world shows that evil often seems to win. As the saying goes, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” This saying is true because if good people don’t speak up or do anything, bad things can become stronger.
The Bible warns that in the last days, man’s love for one another would grow cold (Matthew 24:12). Regrettably, we’re witnessing this prophecy unfold before our very eyes. Many people don’t really follow the commandment to love your neighbour as yourself (Mark 12:31).
Imagine your neighbour, trembling with hunger and homelessness. You hold the power to offer hope, but instead, you turn a blind eye. Know this: on Judgment Day, God’s wrath will descend upon you. What about the immigrant you know who is having trouble making ends meet? They’re someone’s mother, father, sister, or brother, desperate for a chance to live with dignity.
But instead of offering a helping hand, you join the chorus of hate, pushing them further into the shadows. Remember, your actions have real consequences. The pain you inflict will not go unnoticed. You will face the repercussions of your cruelty.
The message is this, if you claim to be followers of Christ, I issue a call to action: evaluate your message and methods. Begin to preach the revolutionary gospel of love, compassion, and unity. Our Creator’s plan has always been rooted in love. Love for him and love for one another. As God emphasized, the key to his heart is to “love your neighbour as yourself” (Mark 12:31, Leviticus 19:18).
Let me be clear: I’m not part of any group or campaign. I just want to share a message that I feel strongly about. Let us strive to make our actions pleasing to God. It’s never too late to change and let go of hatred towards others based on their skin color, nationality, or any other difference.
